Best Sunscreens for Toddlers

It’s a scorcher out there. I wanted to take Syd out to the park when I got off work this evening, but with the sun barreling down like it is, it’s probably not the best idea. Our church picnic is on Saturday and while it will be cooler, I better find some suitable sunscreen to put on her in a hurry.

Putting her in a protective bubble sounds much better. But since I can’t do that, I looked around (as usual these days) for some advice on the best sunscreen for little ones.

I know better than to use something on her less than 30 SPF but I have just recently heard about “broad spectrum” and “chemical free”.

According to an article on About.com, the following are the best sunscreen products available for babies:

  • Aveeno Baby Sunblock lotion, SPF 55
  • Badger SPF 30 For Face & Body
  • Badger SPF 30 Unscented Natural Sunscreen
  • Banana Boat Baby Tear-Free Continous Spray Sunblock, SPF 50
